Amadeus partners with Taxera to bring e-Invoicing technology to partners worldwide

Automated solution will standardize back-office procedures - freeing resources for travel sellers
e-Invoicing to be mandatory in growing number of markets from 2024

Travel technology company Amadeus has signed a new partnership with Taxera Technologies, a next-generation global tax compliance platform. The agreement will see e-Invoice technology shared to travel sellers worldwide, offering access to streamlined, secure and automated processes.

The solution is expected to become increasingly valuable as e-Invoicing becomes mandatory in the European Union, and increases its footprint around the world in the coming years. When fully deployed, travel sellers, including those utilizing Amadeus Agency Manager and Amadeus Gestour, will be able to reallocate time from administrative tasks to commercial priorities.

Moving forward, there will be fewer worries about e-invoice reporting, validation or formats for travel sellers, the process will be taken care of with the new offering.”

Starting this year, e-invoicing will become mandatory in many markets. Under the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) plans from the European Union, for example, e-invoices are now permitted to be issued in compliance with new standards.

However, each market will have its own specific characteristics. Through integration with the Taxera platform, a standardized feed will be offered to Amadeus’ travel sellers worldwide to provide required data to each governmental scheme to guarantee the delivery of a secure and validated sales document.
