Amadeus Travel Platform will power the fast-growing Rappi Travel service and will support its growth in Travel as the most popular super-app in Latin America with 30+ million users spanning across more than 350 cities and nine countries.

The rise of mobile and the proliferation of apps has led to the creation of super-apps, which combine multiple services into one single customer facing application. Making day-to-day life easier, super-apps enable users to shop and receive at their “doorsteps” goods and services from restaurants, pharmacies, retailers as well as many other services. The most innovative super-apps, such as Rappi, include Travel services.

Currently, Rappi’s 30+ million active users can search, book and manage their travel directly on Rappi Travel. While leveraging the search and automation capabilities of theAmadeus Travel Platform , Rappi and Amadeus are innovating together to further develop the travel vertical, and add more features and services to continue to scale the offering. Amadeus and Rappi share a vision of frictionless travel fed by use of hyper contextualized data, which is a cornerstone of the companies’ partnership and the value proposition for Rappi users.
