At Amadeus, our technology powers the global travel and tourism industry. As Chief Technology Officer, I am responsible each day for teams that inspire new ways of working, more connected ways of thinking, always with an eye on how the industry can evolve. We are here to better serve our customers, helping them to meet the ever-changing needs of travelers.

Many of you will be familiar with these ambitions, which form a cornerstone of theAmadeus Story.

Here, I would like to explore in more detail the vital role our technology ambition plays in the work we do.

Our scale and unique combination of strengths enable usto support our customers, helping them to fulfill their ambitions.

Around the world,Amadeus operates key infrastructuredesigned to provide the stability, resilience, and reliability our customers demand, with the inventiveness and imagination they expect.

We excel at delivering large-scale, business-critical processes, and enterprise systems, while solving large, complex problems.Our systems are engineered to be robust, secure, integrated, and open.

What does this look like in reality?

By processing up to100,000 transactions per second at peak times, our capacity is scalable, ensuring we deliver on the changing needs of our industry. In response to shifting demands, we make15,000 system changes per month.

Moreover, we invested20 per cent of our revenue in research and developmentlast year, and we rank as the fifth-largest R&D investor in the software industry in Europe.

With more than three decades of heritage, we know what it takes to deliver for our industry, and we are ready to power the next generation of change.

We are co-creating and mobilizing ever faster in support of our customers. Offering them support, wherever they are, and unlocking the retail transformation that has long been talked about.

We are undertakingone of the largest migrations to the public cloud in history, opening new avenues of what is possible, both for our own teams and our partners. As our customers’ needs change, we evolve. Our modular technology and creation capabilities provide the basis for enhanced experimentation, rapid deployment, and innovation.

I take great pride in the fact that my teams can take an idea from inception all the way through to seeing it realized at scale.

With responsibility to people, planet, and places front-of-mind, we deploy technology that promotesmore sustainable travel: working to reduce energy inputs while increasing processing capacity, following green software standards, and seeking to lower the impact of each journey.

We see sustainability as a major catalyst for technological innovation.

But we recognize innovation is not solely about technology. It is about creating a culture that prizes problem-solving and critical thinking. Enabling people to bring their true selves to work every day. Becausewe thrive on diversity. As a technology leader, we rely on it. It enables an openness to partnership.
