In the past two years, Amadeus has taken advantage of its financial strength to accelerate its growth and diversification with acquisitions. Now, that strategy has been rewarded with the Premio CapCorp Impulsa 2015, an award handed out annually to the Spanish company that has made the best use of merger and acquisitions to reinforce its business.

The award was presented at a gala dinner that served as the closure to theCapCorp 2015forum, an event where private equity and M&A professionals in Spain gather to discuss trends and opportunities. Checar Duran, Director of M&A at Amadeus, received the award.
Amadeus past acquisitions
In December 2013, Amadeus acquired Newmarket Internationalto accelerate its growth in the Hotel IT business segment. In July 2015, the intention to acquire Navitaire was announced, a deal that is pending regulatory approval. Amadeus has also acquired AirIT and UFISin the Airport IT segment;ItessoandHotel SystemProin the Hotel IT segment;Pytonin the leisure distribution segment;iFAO in the Corporate Travel IT segment. We also acquired a minority stake inHiberus Travel IO Solutions, a Spanish IT solutions provider to the travel industry.
